Rochelle Cameron an attorney-at-law with 17 years at the Jamaican Bar joined the LIME team in 2003 having practiced in the criminal courts as Clerk of Courts for the parish of Trelawny and Crown Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. She is currently Head of LIME’s Legal & Regulatory- Division for Jamaica, Cayman and the islands of the North cluster. In addition she was appointed Company Secretary of LIME Jamaica, its subsidiaries and the Cable & Wireless Foundation in October 2014.
Ms. Cameron has added significant economic value to the organization through judicious guidance that ensures that it not only co-exists but expands in a rapidly changing regulatory and highly competitive market. She has led various major projects such as Telecommunications regulatory reform and played significant roles in the planning and implementation of complex processes such as pension reform, property divestment and mergers and acquisitions.
A Trustee of the Cable & Wireless Pension Plan, she also serves on several public and private sector boards including Jamaica’s Universal Access Fund. The blend of organizational skills and love of culture and the Arts allow her to be a valuable contributor as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Programmes Coordination Division of the Institute of Jamaica. She represents the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica on the National Cultural and Creative Industries Commission and was formerly Deputy Chairman of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission and the National Youth Service. In addition to her legal training Rochelle holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business -Mona School of Business- and is a lecturer of the Legal & Regulatory course at the institution.
She possesses a rapier-like wit and a sparkling sense of humour, which she seamlessly intertwines with her ability to shape and deliver serious topics in a way that is both interesting and entertaining. She is an avid runner and participates in local and international road races. A supporter of gastronomy, she is a member of Chaine des Rotisseurs, an international gastronomic society.
