Robert Scott is the Vice President, Export and Market Development at JAMPRO. His responsibility includes overseeing the design and execution of capacity building and international market penetration strategies, for Jamaica’s products and services. An international business development specialist, he served previously as Country Manager/Customer Business Development Manager for the Mars Company, developing and executing route to market strategies throughout the English and Dutch Caribbean.
A graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Manchester Business School, he is extensively trained and is a trainer of others in negotiation, international business development and market development.
Robert serves in several other capacities. He is a Justice of the Peace for the parish of St. Andrew, a Director of the Caribbean Export Development Agency, the founding Chairman of Jamaica Search and Rescue.
He serves also as the Honorary Consul to Latvia and is the Vice-Dean of the Consular Corps of Jamaica. His weekends are spent refurbishing and sailing his old sailboat, Last Lick. Robert is married with one wife and three sons.
